About Me

A UX engineer and product designer with over 3 years of experience in creating tools that empower users and other developers.

I am a big-picture thinker who finds joy in overcoming technical problems, working with different perspectives, and bringing ideas together. Eager to learn new skills and explore new technologies wherever I go.

My Philosophy

The methods I use to design help me better understand and empathize with people, which as a result build more meaningful products. I love finding new ways to optimize a process or improve user experiences to make a tangible impact.

Here are three key ideas that guide my design approach:

Done > Perfect

It's better to have something done and in the users' hands than something perfect. Early feedback is far more valuable than any changes made based on assumptions.

Engineering Buddy

My engineering background helps me understand the importance of technical tradeoffs. Streamlining this process helps us to ship prototypes quickly without sacrificing quality.

Metrics Driven

Collect data early and often. I rely on data to validate assumptions, inform priorities, and to measure the impact of new design solutions.

My Toolbox

A toolbox is important for every designer, as it helps to streamline the design process and create efficiencies. While I have my own trusted toolbox that I use in my day-to-day, I am flexible and adaptable to the tools that best fit the project and the teams I work with.

Below are the tools that help streamline my design process:

Development

Frontend

Backend

Mobile

Design

UX, Prototyping

Brainstorming

Graphic Design

CMS, Marketing

Data

Organization

Analytics, Testing

Documentation, Presentation

Out of Office

When Iโ€™m not working, I love trying out new recipes, hitting the slopes, and travelling. Currently planning my next solo backpacking trip to Guatemala!
